Too Busy To Brush Your Teeth? Think Again With These 3 Tips

1. Take Your Toothbrush to Work.

The best thing that you can do is to take your toothbrush and toothbrush with you to work. In fact, you should purchase an extra brush and extra tube of paste to keep at work. Don't forget a bottle of toothbrush and some dental floss, too. You know you get tired of sitting at your desk the entire time that you there, so getting up to go brush your teeth is an excellent way to take a little break. Plus, it gets something incredibly important done at the same time.

2. Brush While in the Shower.

If you find that you are rushing in the morning because your alarm didn't go off or your kids were dragging their feet, take your toothbrush in the shower with you. It may sound a little off the wall, but it does ensure that your body and your teeth come out clean.

3. Chew Xylitol Gum.

When you have an itch for a piece of candy or when you aren't able to brush your teeth, grab a piece of xylitol gum. Believe it or not, dentists actually recommend this type of gum. The reason for this is because xylitol gum can help prevent tooth decay, as it helps to reduce the amount of bad bacteria in the amount (by as much as 75 percent!), increase saliva production, and reduce the acidity of saliva. Statistically speaking, xylitol can help reduce tooth decay and cavities by up to 85 percent.

While you may be busy, it is very important that you don't skip out on your dentist appointments every six months. It may be difficult to find the time to pencil these in twice a year, but it is imperative to do so if you want to maintain that precious smile of yours.
